Pharma China is pleased to announce the appointment of another industry leader, Dr. Ming Pang, to its Advisory Board.

 

Dr. Pang is a long time ally and friend of Pharma China founder James Shen. He was a pioneer of China business for multinational pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Pang began his career in the pharma industry as a technical executive with GSK in 1982 and became the company’s China project manager in 1988. He later joined IVAX in early 1990s and built the company’s Asian business, including two Chinese joint ventures Kunming Baker Norton Pharma and Beijing JiAi Pharma, from scratch as Chairman and CEO of Baker Norton Asia.

 

In 1998, Dr. Pang became Executive Director of Asia Healthcare Inc. (a healthcare management company based in Taiwan). In 2000, he became a Senior Adviser for Life Sciences Advisory Group of E2Capital where he advised many Chinese and Asian companies, including Nanjing Simcere Pharma, on M&A and IPO related projects.

 

Dr. Pang has a BPharm and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Engineering from London University.
