    • Medicilon was founded in 2004 with the explicit purpose of providing fully integrated pharmaceutical services to the global pharmaceutical community. The company’s integrated services are specially designed to help clients develop their research and discovery programs from the initial idea stage to the IND filing phase.

     

    Shanghai Medicilon Inc has been recognized as one of the top drug discovery contract research organizations (CROs) in China and is managed by a team of scientists with many years of experience in US-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

     

    Its headquarters are located in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai, China, with an additional US facility in Chicago. It occupies 218,000 SF lab space and have over 400 employees cross biology, chemistry and preclinical research. Over 60% employees have MS and PhD degrees, over 10% have foreign education and/or working experiences.

     
    In 2008, Shanghai Medicilon span off preclinical operations and formed a joint venture with MPI Research, Mattawan, Michigan.
