IBC Life Sciences announces that the ACCESS India & China international conference will take place at the Sheraton Hotel & Marina, in San Diego, California on February 9-10, 2009. 

As the Asia partnering landscape is rapidly changing, ACCESS India & China helps to uncover not just the capabilities of Asian partners, but also any potential gaps in preclinical sourcing and inventory resources, along with techniques to overcome them. Formerly titled "Biology, Preclinical and Beyond in India and China", this year’s conference focuses on examples of partnerships where companies were able to combine resources, increase capacity, gain speed and find new ideas.

Conference speakers will discuss successful discovery and development collaborations, future expectations for the industry and dos and don'ts for succeeding in high value partnerships in India and China. Debbie Hartman, Ph.D., VP Lead Generation Discovery Enabling Capabilities Sciences (DECS), Astra Zeneca will present the AstraZeneca-Wuxi Pharmatech case study followed by a Pfizer case study from Martin Edwards, VP & Head of Discovery Chemistry Global R&D La Jolla Laboratories Pfizer. In addition, attendees will have the chance to hear Eli Lilly & Company and Novartis Pharmaceuticals give presentations at the conference.

Also featured are two panel sessions, The CRO Renaissance and Bridging East and West: Licensing & Partnering Trends across the Pacific.  Both will facilitate discussion on the expansion and recent changes of the pharmaceutical marketplace in China and India and how this impacts multinational pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
