    Novartis China to expedite generic business in China 9/8/2005
    The President of Novartis China announced in March that the company intends to expedite the market entry of its generic pharmaceutical business in China through merger and acquisition activities.  The sales of Novartis in China grew by 36.3% in 2004, reaching RMB 1,560 million, and the sales of Beijing Novartis Pharma rose 39.1% in 2004.
