    China’s Export of medical devices up in the first half 10/21/2005
    Export sales of medical devices and equipment by China was up in the first half of 2005, reaching US$1,632 million, up by 33.71% compared with the same period in 2004. 

    Medical devices and equipment made in China was exported to 192 countries and regions in the period, and the leading 50 exporters account for 44.7% of the total. 

    Local observers pointed out that despite the sharp growth, most of the export products are low-tech and low value-added products, and in addition, most of the largest exporters are foreign or joint venture companies.  Among the leading ten exporters of medical devices, 7 of them are foreign or JV companies.
