    Star Pharmaceutical seeks Singapore stock market listing 10/18/2005
    Singapore media reported today that Haikou, China-based Star Pharmaceutical Ltd. had applied for a listing on the main board of the Singapore Exchange.

    Star is involved in pharmaceutical R&D, manufacture and distribution of prescription drugs, including both Western and traditional Chinese medicine.

    According to the company, last year Star booked net profits of 40 million yuan on sales of 92.3 million yuan.
