A survey by the Beijing Psychological Crisis Research and Prevention Center and Beijing Huilongguan Hospital shows that there are over 100,000 people above the age of 55 committing suicides, representing 36% of all suicides. 25% people over 55 who committed suicides had symptoms of depression or other mental disorders, but did not receive any therapy for these symptoms.  Another survey of senile disease patients in China also shows that between 50% to 80% of them are related with psychological problems or disorders.
