According to the announcement, Baraclude tablets (active ingredient: entecavir) that Bristol-Myers Squibb applied for administrative protection (application number: A-US05110905), which was accepted by SFDA on November 24, 2005, were considered after examination not conform with the provisions of Regulations on Administrative Protection for Pharmaceuticals. In accordance with Article 11 Paragraph 2 of Regulations on Administrative Protection for Pharmaceuticals, SFDA on May 16, 2006 made the decision that "Administrative Protection will not be granted to Baraclude tablets (active ingredient: entecavir)".
