BEIJING, April 27, SinoCast -- In 2005, the production value of China's pharmaceutical industry reached CNY 462.771 billion, rising 26.25% over the previous year. Sales reached CNY 437.277 billion in 2005, rising 25.78%. The news is from the analysis report on the operation of the country's pharmaceutical industry in 2005 issued by State Food and Drug Administration of China (SFDA).
In 2004, the production value and sales were respective CNY 366.563 billion and 347.615 billion, rising 16.92% and 17.44% over 2003.

It showed an obvious growth on the sales and production value in China's pharmaceutical industry.

In terms of medical treatment and health care products, the prices of medicines were falling down, but the declining gradually slow down.

While, the prices of medical treatment and health care services kept in a steady level.

The price for medical treatment and health care rebounded in the latter half year in 2005, after a decline for half a year.
