China has offered Pakistan for the setting up of a pharmaceutical unit for manufacturing of traditional Chinese and arvedic medicines.

A delegation of Chinese scientists in a meeting here with the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry's acting Director, Professor Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhry told that the Chinese traditional medicines were getting popular all over the world.

He invited 10 Pakistani scientists engaged in the research works on herbal medicines to visit China and also proposed launching of Pak-China joint projects for manufacturing of herbal medicines.

The delegation of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicines told that the setting up of a unit for manufacturing of Chinese medicines in Pakistan would not only pave the way for bolstering investment, but Chinese research and technology would also be transferred.
