    SFDA issues new regulations for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs 11/21/2005
    The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) issued on October 31, 2005 "Requirements for the Distribution of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs (Interim)", which took effect on the date of its promulgation.  The Requirements comprise five chapters: general provisions, designated distributors, purchase and sales, management and supplementary provisions.

    The SFDA also issued on the same date "Requirements for the Manufacturing of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs (Interim)", which took effect on the date of its promulgation.  The Requirements comprise six chapters: general provisions, designated manufacturers, production plans, safety management, sales management and supplementary provisions. 

    The agency issued on November 1, 2005  Notice of the Requirements for the Experimental Research on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs in accordance with Regulations for the Control of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs of the State Council.
